the only downside was the check-in timing, but the stay was amazing overall! our room was spacious, the private onsen tub offered stunning mountain views, and the staff helped us navigate local attractions easily. meals were delicious and filling too!

I was really disappointed when I booked the Ryokan. I specifically chose it for the private bath, only to find it closed for maintenance upon arrival. It felt like a major downgrade compared to my previous stay elsewhere for less money, with bigger rooms and better facilities. I simply wish they had warned me about the bath situation beforehand.

our stay at new wakasa was fantastic. we loved the japanese-style triple room, and the free upgrade was a nice surprise. the staff was super friendly and helpful, especially when they offered us hot towels and sweet tea after a long day out. the breakfast was decent, and the location was great, just a short walk from lots of good food options.
